The Tropics, with Toddlers

This post about a day at the “world’s only Buddhist themed amusement park” in Vietnam reminded me of how hard, and how hilarious, it is sometimes to get out and go exploring with very young children. And why it is so useful to have a linguistic and cultural interpreter on hand sometimes.

The part about feeling really insanely hot during summer in the tropics and how cranky that makes both kids and parents–that part I don’t need any reminders about.  It is all too vividly present.  #newrecordsofsweatiness   #icanwringoutmysocks

(it may look as if I hopped in the ocean after my run, but…um, nope.)
